PSX
The PSX is a digital video recorder and media center that was released by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2003. It was designed to be a combination of a PlayStation 2 console and a DVR, allowing users to not only play games but also record and watch TV shows and movies.
The PSX was available in two models: the DESR-5000 and DESR-7000. Both models featured a built-in hard drive, which allowed users to record and store up to 160 hours of television programming. They also had a DVD burner, which allowed users to archive recorded content onto DVDs for long-term storage.
The PSX also included a variety of multimedia features, such as music and photo playback, and had access to the PlayStation 2 game library. It also had a variety of peripherals and accessories, such as a remote control, keyboard, and mouse.
Despite its impressive technical features and unique combination of functions, the PSX was not a commercial success and was only released in Japan. It remains a rare and sought-after console among collectors due to its unique features and limited availability.
