National Videogame Museum in Sheffield and the Video Games Museum
The founder behind the upcoming Video Games Museum in Heraklion, recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield. The visit offered him an invaluable perspective on how institutions around the world honor and preserve the rich history of video gaming.
The National Videogame Museum welcomed me with open arms. Their team took the time to show me around and share stories behind their remarkable collection. It was a privilege to see firsthand how they bring the story of video games to life for visitors of all ages. It really reminded me why we’re building something similar in Heraklion.
Seeing the dedication and passion at Sheffield’s museum reaffirmed our mission here in Heraklion. We’re excited to work alongside such a great institution as we open our own doors.
We'd love to thank John O'Shea (Creative Director / Co-CEO) and Christian Beckett (Marketing and Communications Officer) for the amazing hospitality.
The Video Games Museum in Heraklion looks forward to future collaborations with The National Videogame Museum and other institutions around the world that share a vision for preserving and celebrating video game culture.
