Attended Gamescom 2024 to build new partnerships
The Video Games Museum of Heraklion, Greece, proudly announces the successful participation of its Director, at the 2024 Gamescom exhibition held in Cologne, Germany.
The event, which took place from August 20-24, is the world's largest video game trade fair and provided a unique platform for networking, collaboration, and exploring the latest trends in the gaming industry.
During the exhibition, our director engaged with a diverse range of industry professionals, including trade visitors, independent developers, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders. The primary goal of these meetings was to discuss potential collaborations, exchange ideas on preserving gaming history, and explore innovative ways to enhance the visitor experience at the Video Games Museum of Heraklion.
Key highlights of the visit include discussions with several indie game studios about potential exhibits showcasing their innovative work, as well as meetings with technology providers to explore new ways to integrate cutting-edge technology into the museum's exhibits. Also met with representatives from major gaming corporations to discuss long-term partnerships that could bring exclusive content and events to the museum.
In addition to fostering new partnerships, the visit provided an opportunity to gain insights into the latest trends in game development, including advancements in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and interactive storytelling. These insights will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of the museum's exhibitions and educational programs.
